The Laundry Room is attached to La Maison d’Artiste but with no adjoining door La Baunderie used to be a self-contained ‘granny’ annex. It needs complete renovation but could be a great Air BnB, workshop or with a new doorway included as a ‘garden’ room or even the kitchen accessible from La Maison d’Artiste. 

The land

One acre, cleared and maintained, with mature trees including acacia and a large lime tree, plus a row of outbuildings. 

History

The property dates back further, but its present form comes from an artist who bought it in the 1920s, extended the house, and added what is now La Maison de Calèche. The surrounding land, once larger, was divided and sold over the years, leaving the one acre that remains today. 

Lavaveix-les-Mines

A village with a Thursday market, two boulangeries, a convenience store, pharmacy, medical centre and a small selection of shops and restaurants, all within 5 minutes walk. Ahun - a 5 minute drive has an Intermarche and other smaller shops. Walking and cycling routes (Sentiers) run from the village through woodland, farmland and along the river.

Use

We've used the property as a holiday home, occupied for a few months of the year. The land and outbuildings would also suit a full-time move, keeping animals, or growing produce, subject to any relevant permissions.

Live in La Maison d'Artiste while renovating the Coach House as a guest cottage, holiday let, or studio.

Basically, EVERYTHING you could need to move in. Just bring your personal belongings, to be perfectly comfortable and at home.
